Government approved valuers India have exclusive valuers for ship that carry out the ship valuation process based on accepted and established industry practices.
GAV India valuers commonly apply shipping industry’s approved standardized valuation methods.

We use the following methodologies:

• Reference Value Method – Initial valuation is carried out by our experts by carefully checking the value of the ship in reference of other similar assets
• Material Asset Valuation – Our valuers for ship also focus on the short-term assets of the ship, that includes inventory (like raw materials, works in progress, & finished goods) and count it in the asset report for ship valuation.
• Earning Rate Value Method – Using this method of earnings our valuers determine the value of a ship by calculating the net present value as well as expected future profits or cash flows. They determine the value of the ship by looking at the existing cash flow as well as the annual rate of return.

Supplementing the above-mentioned methodologies, we have the following two assessment methods to further improvise the valuation report:

• Indicative value / market opinion - While evaluating the value of a ship, not only the reference value method should be applied but also the current market opinion should be taken into consideration.
• Long Term Asset Value - There can be substantial differences in terms of current valuation of a ship and that of its long-term value. Our valuers for ship ensure that the depreciation factor of the asset is taken into consideration while preparing the final summary report.
